Although I’d like to see executives being tortured in ways ironic as endless as the devil and his minions must admit that Ubisoft makes very interesting promotional films for their games and here comes the first trailer of Ghost Recon Future Soldier.

The trailer looks good and I say OK. The production values are up to Hollywood and realism, intensity and visual style than what I have seen out of this black hole of intelligence in years. Also worth remembering that this is only the trailer and we still see the rest.
The piece owes homage to the brilliant trailer for Halo: ODST which unfortunately never went that left us with the illusion of seeing a Halo movie that good.
Directed by Francois Herve de Crecy Alaux and the short will have about 20 minutes, slightly less than Legacy of Assassin’s Creed 2 but enough to make us excited about the arrival of the game (which I hope does not have the emetic system for PC piracy made me delete Asssassin’s Creed 2 and Splinter Cell Conviction of my shopping list).

After that little by little the minds of executives from the games this beginning to accept that the short films inspired by their properties being put into real life by someone other than Uwe Boll, if you are interesting, it was announced that the new Ghost Recon delivery will be accompanied by a 20-minute promotional short.

The detail that this production will be directed by Francois Herve de Crecy Alaux and who just won the Oscar for best short film by Logorama, its delirious versionof modern iconography and its coexistence in the modern world.
Personally I think this could also go extremely well or horribly wrong. I honestly do not think there is much room for anything “Meh” because these guys are so talented that they will understand perfectly what to do or create something as crazy that nobody can understand it fully.
Ghost Recon Future Soldier goes on sale in 2010 in the United States.
